Overview:
- The Physiotherapist provides specialized care for elderly patients to improve mobility, manage pain, and
- enhance quality of life. This role involves creating and implementing personalized rehabilitation
- programs to help seniors regain independence and prevent functional decline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment: Evaluate patients’ physical abilities, mobility, and health conditions, reviewing medical histories and collaborating with healthcare team.
- Planning: Develop personalized care plans, group exercises and some activities according to individual needs and interests.
- Treatment: Deliver personalized physiotherapy plans, using exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities tailored to seniors.
- Rehabilitation: Assist in recovery from surgeries, strokes, fractures, and chronic conditions like arthritis or Parkinson’s disease.
- Training: Teach healthcare staff, patients and families about injury prevention, exercise, and lifestyle modifications.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of treatments, progress, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor or Master degree in Physiotherapy
- Experience: Prior experience with geriatric patients is preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of geriatric care, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.
