The Physiotherapist provides specialized care for elderly patients to improve mobility, manage pain, and
enhance quality of life. This role involves creating and implementing personalized rehabilitation
programs to help seniors regain independence and prevent functional decline.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment: Evaluate patients’ physical abilities, mobility, and health conditions, reviewing medical histories and collaborating with healthcare team.
Planning: Develop personalized care plans, group exercises and some activities according to individual needs and interests.
Treatment: Deliver personalized physiotherapy plans, using exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities tailored to seniors.
Rehabilitation: Assist in recovery from surgeries, strokes, fractures, and chronic conditions like arthritis or Parkinson’s disease.
Training: Teach healthcare staff, patients and families about injury prevention, exercise, and lifestyle modifications.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of treatments, progress, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor or Master degree in Physiotherapy
Experience: Prior experience with geriatric patients is preferred.
Skills: Knowledge of geriatric care, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.
