I would like to know what types of care are offered at GCC Centre.
- Respite Care – Short-term placement at the GCC Centre when the caregiver is temporarily unable to provide care for an elderly person due to some reason (illness, inactivity, or travel).
- Sub-acute/Post-acute Care – Step-down care is provided to people who have been discharged from the hospital but still need ongoing care (e.g., stroke survivors, chronically ill patients, those with urinary or nasal tubes and those who need rehabilitation exercises after surgery) before they returned to their homes.
- Cognitive Care – Cognitive training can be used to help people with dementia for preventing symptoms from worsening and to help them regain their memory.
- Long-Term Care – Providing care for older adults who need to live for short or long periods due to chronic conditions and various needs.
